The Dartmouth Lawn Bowls Club opened it's doors on August 15th, 1987. Today we are over 150 members strong and we offer league play, fun bowling and competitions for our members from May to October.

Our season runs from April 1st-November 15th each year for outdoor play (weather dependent- as long as there isn't frost in the carpet, some years play can extend as late as the end of November. Executive communicates to members for the opening and closing of the green for the season). Our winter short mat season runs from roughly early November to early April depending on club activities.
From June 1st-August 31st, the gate opens from 8:30am-4:00pm Monday thru Friday. The gates will be closed from 12pm-12:30pm for lunch break. The gates are reopened at 6:30pm for evening play Sunday-Friday. The gates are not open on weekends except for special events. During the shoulder months, the gate will be open for scheduled events only. If you want to access the club and greens during these times, just give one of the many people with keys a call and they will come down to the club and open the gates. During April, May and November, the green is open to members with the entry lock combination and during scheduled club events. Between November 30th and March 31st, the green is closed. No unauthorized equipment such as shovels are to be used on the green as this causes damage to the carpet and will shorten it's life. For rental inquiries, please contact [email protected]. |
